Universal Image Analysis Software

phoenix|x-ray Systems + Services Incmage|optimiserT 3.1 is a universal, fully integrated inspection and analysis software program for real-time failure analysis and inspection. Ideally used for inspection and verification of boards using BGAs, Flip Chips, mBGAs, and other high-density packages, the
program can be used for the determination of process defects or design analysis for Chip Packaging and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturers.

The program works in "interactive" (live image viewing) or "stand-alone" (previously) captured image-viewing mode for maximum analysis or inspection needs. In either modes, the unit is designed to provide the maximum benefits of capturing images for immediate analysis or later by storing images as files on the hard drive or zip disk drive, or saved to a network server archiving off-line.

Some key program features include live or inverse image analysis, multiple framed window viewing, filters (smoothing, sharpen, edge relief and median), quick snapshots, text annotation, auto/manual histograms and customer-defined macros. Additional modules are wire sweep measurements, die attach analysis, BGA analysis, auto positioning control and 2-D measurement.

The image|optimiserT is a unique, full-featured system that integrates directly with most x-ray and vision inspection systems. Advanced software extensive measurement functions allow manipulation of images and data to define sizes (e.g. minimum ball size), tolerances, after calculated Ball Results, and profiles and determines individual solder ball voiding in automatic or manual detection. The software also includes Histogram Analysis Tools, Zoom Window and Zoom Control, and Point-To-Point Calibration.

With a wide, comprehensive range of Windows based menu options, the
inspection and analysis software includes such key features as side-by-side x-ray image and analysis information on the same screen (Live or Captured), and direct scripting on the image for defect or highlighted interests.

Using image|optimiserT with the Image Filter menu gives the user the needed flexibility to enhance images and highlight defects for easy visual inspection with such options as smooth, sharpen, equalize, negate (negative image), and relief. The Histogram measurement tools round off the Inspection and Analysis software to provide a graphical representation of key gray levels.
