The company offers the NT-216, the latest addition to their family of tape and reel systems. This versatile unit handles all discrete components up to the D-Pak size and all small passives with throughput up to 30,000 parts per hour. The NT-216 accepts input from vibratory bowl feeders, lead frames and tube feeders and outputs to tube or to tape widths from 8 mm to 16 mm.

The system the company's continued addition of standardized platforms to its automated assembly product offering. As a standard system, the NT-216 can be built and ramped into full production quickly, offering customers affordable, high-speed taping with a fast turnaround.

The system features a sixteen-position rotary turret that is synchronized with a rotary table used for laser marking and mark inspection. This advanced vision system inspects for both mark presence and lead integrity. The NT-216 is able to perform as a stand-alone test handler in bulk sorting applications, sorting to two tape and reel tracks to according to electrical tests.

Electrical tests with up to four separate Kelvin (clamping or non-clamping) test stations are available as an option. Another option sorts components in up to eleven separate bins. The system can be utilized in-line in order to trim the device from the lead frame and form the leads. Simple to operate, the NT-216 features an industrial grade PC with a VGA color monitor.
