SiGen is actively partnering with semiconductor and wafer manufacturing companies to expand the worldwide capacity of SOI wafers through licensing of its SOI process. Licensing of the SiGen SOI process is particularly attractive to IC manufacturers and wafer suppliers as a way to bring down the current high cost of SOI production. NanoCleave will enable the transition of SOI to mainstream applications by making possible a 50% to 70% cost reduction in the cost of SOI wafers.
