SNOWTEX –PS is an innovative high-performance silica sols shaped like a string of pearls made of 10 to 50 nm spherical colloidal silica particles bound to a length of 50 to 400 nm. This is very different from traditional silica sols, which are dispersions of discrete particles. This gives SNOWTEX-PS characteristics not found in conventional silica sols. There are two forms of SNOWTEX-PS (SNOWTEX ST-PS-S and ST-PS-M). The typical properties are:
Grade | ST-PS-S | ST-PS-M |
Specific Gravity (20°C) | 1.09 - 1.11 | 1.12 - 1.14 |
pH | 9.5 - 10.5 | 9.0 - 10.5 |
Viscosity (25°C, mPa-s) | 3 - 30 | 3 - 30 |
