SIMBA 2 Electron Beam Power Supply

The Temescal Simba 2 electron beam power supply is a constant voltage, 15-kW power supply designed to power and control up to three electron beam sources simultaneously. This high output capacity makes the Simba 2 ideal for production applications requiring substan-tial deposition rates. The power supply is designed to ensure operator safety, ease of integration into existing systems, and stable output at all levels. Both voltage and current are regulated to 1%. Voltage is regulated by a full-power tetrode tube that acts as a massive variable resistor to counteract the effects of ripple, line voltage fluctuation, and voltage sag due to high current drain. The result is a constant voltage that enables the user to maintain a tight beam spot and high evaporation rates at a given power level.
Note: Customers purchasing a Simba 2 power supply must also order a transformer kit. In addition, if the power supply is to operate more than one gun, the purchaser must order an additional gun controller kit for each additional gun.
