History
SCP Global Technologies was founded in 1973 in Silicon Valley. The company began operations under the name Santa Clara Plastics as a custom machine shop and manufacturing company. The company moved to Boise, Idaho in 1978. In the early stages of SCP's history, the company forged a position as a leader in developing new technology and products for wet processing equipment for the semiconductor industry.
In 1984, SCP continued its leadership role by introducing the industry's first dry-to-dry fully automated robotic wet processing system. The success of this and future generations of robotic systems led to SCP's strong market position in the late 80's and early 90's.
In 1996, Santa Clara Plastics changed its name to SCP Global Technologies to reflect the company's focus on worldwide expansion with industry leading technology. Today, SCP Global Technologies continues its leadership role in providing leading-edge automated surface preparation solutions that reflects the latest in advanced technology and cost-effective operation.
