Tefen UK offers the Production, Planning and Control Software Goal System (PPC). PPC was developed in response to wafer fabrication requirements for improved cycle time and stability, on-time delivery, and Work-in-Process (WIP) balance as well as for increasing overall move capabilities. PPC is usually implemented by Tefen within Cycle Time reduction and productivity programs that include setting goals for each production areas by product and operation on a weekly basis and adjusting weekly goals to comply with current WIP and capacity constraints. PPC was developed as a Visual Basic/Excel application by optimizing the goals with linear programming. PPC has been implemented successfully in several facilities in the US. PPC software is available immediately and is usually delivered as part of a comprehensive program.
