Planetary Gearbox

The IP57B is a second generation, cost-effective planetary gearbox offering integer ratios, low backlash and up to 10:1 ratio in a single stage. These advanced NEMA size 23 gearboxes are available with five stock ratios from 5 to 100:1, nine standard ratios from 4 to 500:1, and thirty-four optional ratios from 3 to 1000:1.

The gearboxes are designed for maximum static output torque rating of 70 Nm (620 lb/in), a maximum input speed rating of 5,000 rpm and an average single stage backlash of 20 arc-minutes. Life expectancy depends on running conditions. Typical life exceeds 5000 operating hours, which can be extended beyond 10,000 hour with optional upgraded bearings.

Each gearbox is supplied complete with adapters and an Easyfit clamp on pinion for off-the-shelf flexibility or direct fit for a cost-effective solution in OEM volumes. These gearboxes can be fitted to any type of motor, but their prime use is with brushed and brushless DC and stepper motors for factory automation, medical, process control, scientific instruments, security and access, and semiconductor manufacturing applications.
