NetSight, is the first in a series of embedded Pentium machine vision engines. Based on the Microsoft Windows CE operating system for embedded control applications, NetSight provides users with a fully programmable, MMX scaleable, high-performance and deterministic extension (or alternative) to host -based vision processing. Configurable with self-boot or remote-boot capability, NetSight can be deployed as a stand-alone or network ready device that communicates with a supervisory application running on a remote host.
NetSight applications can easily be developed on a PC workstation with Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 (Windows CE toolkit installed), using Windows-compatible APIs. Included in the NetSight SDK is MVTools CE, ITI's core library of machine vision functions. Applications developed with MVTools on other Imaging Technology platforms can easily be ported to NetSight by simply rebuilding with Windows CE.
