MVTools CE
The company offers MVTools CE, a set of C/C++-based machine vision software tools based on Microsoft Windows CE.
The company offers MVTools CE, a set of C/C++-based machine vision software tools based on Microsoft Windows CE. Designed for speed, ease of use, and precision, the software offers OEMs and Systems Integrators a comprehensive library of vision development tools that combines high quality subpixel accuracy with excellent ease-of-use. It provides these capabilities in the form of a flexible software library that can save machine vision OEMs days or weeks of development time and effort.

In benchmark studies, the tools compare well with comprehensive software, providing algorithms whose average search times are up to 6 times faster and accuracy up to 4 times better than other machine vision libraries.

Comprehensive Machine Vision Functions
MVTools CE is a high-level set of C/C++ software libraries (Dynamic Link Libraries) designed for fast machine vision application development under Windows CE. Developed for OEMs who require reliable, off-the-shelf vision software tools. It includes Imager CE utilities for acquiring and handling camera issues, along with a rich suite of image processing and analysis routines.

It also features SmART Search, the company's artificial-intelligence-based, pattern-locating tool that is able to adapt to a wide variety of process variations while still providing fast, highly accurate search results for demanding machine vision applications. Additional tools available include Grayscale Correlation Search, blob, calipers, edge tools. Histogram, image preprocessing, OCR, barcode 39, barcode 412, IC lead inspection, IC mark inspection, BGA inspection, OCV, and more.

Seamless Integration with Vision Hardware
The tools seamlessly integrates with the company's image capture hardware, including the company's high performance, low cost PCVision family of frame grabbers and the NetSight series of embedded vision processors. Unique to the frame grabbers, such as the new PC-DIG which interfaces with digital input devices, including line and area scan cameras, is on-board memory for buffering image data between the camera and host PC system. This feature allows image transfers over the PCI bus that are 10 time faster (image transfers can be sustained in excess of 100 MB/sec to the PCI bus). This allows for simultaneous acquisition and processing of data. The on-board memory also assures that image information will not be lost during transfer to system memory.

The tools also work with the company's new NetSight series of embedded vision subsystems, the first to integrate proven, robust, machine vision tools with on-board MMX-accelerated processing, remote networking, artificial intelligence, and industry standard development tools.
