Multi-Track to Tape Machine

The MP-300 multi-track to tape machine was designed for inspecting and taping components fed from multi-track magazines. The system features a compact footprint, no additional tooling for most components changes and quick changeover, offering the user a flexible, efficient machine. The machine achieves throughput rates up to 7,000 units per hour for high-speed applications.

Designed to be flexible for a wide range of components, the machine's non-gravity handler accepts multi-track magazines from 250-mm to 560-mm long to a stack height of 110 mm. The system accepts a wide range of two-sided components and is compatible with smaller components such as TSSOPs and MSOPs.

The vision system of the machine can inspect components for true three-dimensional coplanarity, mark and two-dimensional lead alignment. Once inspected, the system auto-rejects defective components to tube or bulk. Tape output is further inspected to ensure proper orientation and pocket integrity.

Its computer-based control system affords ease-of-use with pull down menus and a graphical user interface. The control unit actively monitors ongoing production processes without the need for operator support.

The system accepts a wide range of tape widths from 8 mm to 56 mm, with tooling for one tape width included. The taping module comes standard with tooling for both hot and cold sealing of PSA tapes.
