Model SS4-A Multi-Spectrum Electro-Optical Fire Detector

Fast-reacting, digital, reprogrammable, computerized, smart Model SS4 Multi-Spectrum Electro-Optical Fire/Flame Detectors. Detector will alarm on Type A, B, and C flaming fires. The Detector alarm range is 60 feet for a one square foot gasoline with a 120-degree circular field of view. This design uses dynamic signal processing that utilizes ultraviolet band, Wide Band Infrared (IR) band, and visible band sensor elements and is optimized to alarm on all types of fires, while virtually eliminating the possibility of false alarms.

The Model SS4 fire Detector performs the same whether it is connected to the FS2000 Fire Early Warning System (with CM1-A Controller and FireBus) or whether it operates in the Stand-Alone mode. The only difference between a FS2000 System Model SS4 Detector and a Stand-Alone SS4 Detector is how each is wired and the use of the fault relay. There are many operational advantages when the Model SS4 Detector is connected to a CM1-A Controller and FireBus. One advantage is that Model TS2 COP-i Test Sources can be used to automatically test the Model SS4 Detector's operational readiness, optical window cleanliness, and the optical path in the fire threat area. The SS4-A has a built-in "through-the-lens" test source.
