As wafers grew to eight inches and line widths become smaller, the demand for greater stability and ease of use in probing stations intensified over the previous industry standard. Even with the increased demand on test equipment, laboratory space was being reduced. These conflicting issues resulted in the development of the 8000 Series, the original second generation semi-automatic 8-inch analytical probing station. The series offers probers, in both 8 inch and 6 inch form, offer the most stable, intuitive, and space efficient six or eight inch systems available today.

Configure your own system with the wide choice of configuration options ranging from completely manual (8060) systems to motorized stage and/or microscopes (8065) to full programmability (8860) via your host through fastlink or Micromanipulator's revolutionary new Windows based pcProbe graphical control environment. Windows applications supporting the Windows Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) interface can be directly linked to pcProbe for maximum utilization of laboratory resources. pcProbe also provides an integrated joystick for precise, effortless 3 axis positioning control.
