OGDEN has offered the 3/4" i.d. by 1-1/4" wide Mini-Tubular nozzle heater for many years. This is designed as the heating component for Husky Injection Molding Machine hot runner systems. Because of its 360 heating surface and high temperature capabilities, OGDEN customers have found many other uses for these items, from semiconductor and packaging equipment to medical instrumentation. The latest improvement in Mini-Tubular design is the Cam-Clamp. The axial clamp allows the heater to be changed or replaced without removing the tooling from the mold base. The hex head screw is accessed from the front. On similar Mini Tubular Heaters with the mounting flange, access is from the side, as is typical of most band heater mounting styles. The Cam Clamp can even be changed in an emergency while the mold is still in the press. With Cam Clamp mounting, many hours of maintenance time can be saved in Mini-Tubular applications.
