Minato Electronics Inc. has been a pioneer in the advancement of test and measurement technology since the Company was founded in 1951. Minato introduced the first Japanese designed and manufactured Logic IC tester in February 1966. The Logic tester was followed by the first Japanese PROM Programmer in 1973 which quickly became the standard programmer line for all of the major semiconductor manufacturers and users in the entire Asian market place. Minato also developed one of the leading highly parallel memory test systems, testing 64 DUTs in parallel at 125MHz! With our new ATE like technology, Minato has introduced the Model 1940 programmer which is capable of testing 16 giant 128Mbit devices in parallel at speeds 3-10 times faster than competing machines.
