Medium Voltage Switch

The Yaskawa SF6 load break switch has over 25 years of installation experience
Since introducing SF6 gas rotary-arc technology in 1964, Yaskawa has produced over 120,000 medium-voltage SF6 switches, circuit breakers, and contactors. Yaskawa introduced the world's first medium voltage circuit breaker with SF6 gas rotary-Arc technology to the market in 1970, and has led the technological development for this class of switch worldwide.

Yaskawa's SF6 load break switches are safer to operate than vacuum and other competitive types because the gas pressure is continuously monitored by a pressure switch and is mechanically and electrically interlocked if pressure is lowered. Highest quality porcelain bushings are used for longer and more reliable insulation performance, thus making the Yaskawa switch ideal for use in hostile and dusty environments such as mines, heavy salt-ridden coastal areas, and dense tropical areas.

Long Life
Yaskawa's SF6 LFG load break switch offers an electrical life up to 1,000 plus CO operations at 100% of load current, and a mechanical life of 3,000 plus CO operations without maintenance.
Reliability
The Yaskawa SF6 load break switch has over 25 years of installation experience. The simple design construction of the switch, using a highly automated assembly process under the strict Deming Prize quality system; ensures that the user receives most reliable switch in the world. Yaskawa is fully capable of providing historical reliability data for every switch produced since its inception.
Warranty
Yaskawa offers up to a twenty year warranty on the load break switches, unlike competitive products which are warranted for only one year.
