Kilopass And Dongbu HiTek To Deliver Embedded Non-Volatile Memory Technology For CMOS Process Nodes
The agreement offers customers using Kilopass' XPM, one-time programmable memory technology, for storage of security keys and/or IDs, firmware, calibration data and other application critical information for more advanced system architecture options.
"Our customers need both a few bits for fuse applications and large memories for code storage. We chose Kilopass' XPM Non-Volatile Memory products because they offer strong security, excellent reliability, and already have a large, satisfied customer base," said Jae-Inh Song, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Dongbu HiTek. "XPM technology uses our proprietary standard logic CMOS process, requires no changes, and makes it easy for our customers to implement secure key storage for applications like HDCP, calibration, and firmware storage across a broad range of application requirements. More customers are demanding higher security and post-production system configuration features, and Kilopass' secure XPM products provide the best solution in the market," said Mr. Song.
"We are very pleased to see that Kilopass technology has been chosen by Dongbu based on our ability to service their customers' demanding application requirements," remarked Bernie Aronson, CEO, Kilopass. "Working closely with Dongbu, new customers and markets will now benefit from the combination of Kilopass' embedded non-volatile memory technology and Dongbu's CMOS technologies."
