With its SP2 placement system and three different placement modes, the KE-2030 offers electronics manufacturers a high degree of flexibility and speed in a modular machine.

The KE-2030 features a placement rate of up to 20,000 components per hour, making it one of the fastest modular SMT placement machines in the world. Two multi-nozzle laser heads with four nozzles each can pick and place components as small as 0201 chips and as large as 26.5 mm x 11 mm or 20mm2. Bulk feeding allows 10 times more components to fit on a feeder.

Three placement modes are possible with the KE-2030. In parallel placement mode, the machine places up to 60 different unique components while running two identical configurations on two identical circuit boards. In sequential placement mode, the KE-2030 divides the circuit board into two sectors and assigns each to one of the machine's multiple nozzle heads.

In this mode, 120 part numbers can be accommodated. In mixed placement mode, the KE-2030 works by splitting two circuit boards into three sectors, assigning one sector to one head, a second sector to the second head, and the third sector to both heads for parallel placement.
