For more than 26 years, Ion Tech has led the industry in the design and production of high performance, thin film ion beam deposition systems and sources to meet any research or production need. Located and founded in Fort Collins, Colorado, Ion Tech addresses manufacturing needs for precise, uniform, thin film coatings. Over the years the engineering staff developed a variety of ion sources that feature innovative design, exceptional quality and unsurpassed reliability and are capable of diverse applications including ion beam deposition, ion beam etch, ion beam assisted deposition and precleaning.

In November 1999, Ion Tech merged with Veeco Instruments of Plainview, New York. This merger is an exciting step forward as Ion Tech continues its growth and expansion into new global markets. Veeco is a worldwide leader in metrology and process equipment. Veeco's focus has been on growth industries like data storage, semiconductor and optical telecommunications. Veeco Instruments offers expanding technology and strategic customer relationships to provide "one-stop shopping" solutions.

The Veeco-Ion Tech product line features DC and filamentless RF ion beam sources in several sizes in both linear and round configurations with a complete line of accompanying power supplies, gas flow controllers and fixtures. Full process ion beam systems in standard and custom configurations, designed for specific customer requirements, have a wide range of application capabilities.
