The software provides accurate interconnect models by linking real-time waveform acquisition from TDR instrumentation, model extraction based on the interconnect true impedance profile, and model verification using an integrated interface to a SPICE simulator.

The software allows rapid IC package and PCB prototype characterization, which results in higher performance IC package and PCB designs, concurrent system development and faster product time to market.

The interconnect modeling software is an interactive environment for interconnect prototype characterization, linking measurement, modeling, simulation and model verification into an integrated solution for modeling of interconnects. Users can traverse the logical path from Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) measurements to an accurate equivalent circuit model without ever leaving the framework of the software. The software may be used for measurement and modeling of an existing prototype prior to production, or as an environment for fine-tuning an analytical interconnect model for future prototype design and characterization.

With the use of the modeling solution, interconnect modeling tasks can be accomplished in minutes instead of days.
