Improve your Ceramic Lid Sealing Results with Automation

Source: Solid State Equipment Corporation

Horsham, PA—A new Ceramic Lid Sealer from Solid State Equipment Corporation provides automatic ceramic lid pick, place, and tacking resulting in properly aligned and sealed ceramic lids, thereby lowering sealing labor costs and increasing yields. This system uses precise temperature and time control of ceramic lids and packages to attain highly uniform seal of the epoxy preforms used for sealing. Packages are handled automatically from industry-standard boats as they pass over a heated stage that maintains package temperature up to 200 °C. The pre-heating nozzle heats lids to a temperature programmable in 1 °C increments. Both heating systems are fully programmable for even dwell time with SSEC's exclusive sequencing software. Vision-driven lid placement ensures positioning accuracy.

Solid State Equipment Corporation manufactures a full line of spindle cleaners/processors and hermetic package sealers at its headquarters in suburban Philadelphia. These systems are complemented with application-specific components and supporting systems, including chemistry management systems and environmental systems for sealers. SSEC maintains sales and service offices worldwide, and customer support and process development centers in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Fremont, California, Regensburg, Germany, and Tokyo, Japan. for further information: Contact Terri Kolodziejski at SSEC, 215-328-0700, FAX 215-328-9410, tkolodziejski@ssecusa.com, or visit www.ssecusa.com.
