The IC-RGB image capture card provides a fast transfer of color and monochrome video data to the host PC memory. With 2 or optionally 4MB of high speed, dual ported linear mapped video memory running at 120MB/sec, users can simultaneously acquire and send image data to the host PC memory.
This product is able to handle inputs from a number of automated imaging and machine vision applications. It is a half-slot PCI bus card that can handle up to two RGB color cameras or up to two sets of three simultaneous synchronous RS-170, CCIR, or variable scan camera inputs. An optional color space converter (CSC) provides high speed conversion to various color spaces. Strobe, trigger, and frame reset are also supported.
This image capture card can be configured as either a DMA bus master or slave. In bus master mode, special circuitry automatically de-interlaces the image on the fly. This allows data to be DMA'd a frame at a time, sustaining 120MB/sec to the PCI bus, instead of the standard line FIFO method. Additionally, AOIs (Areas of Interest) can be transferred out of memory, at full speed, without the need to write any special code. Display is done using the host VGA.
