HyperPlot runs on UNIX & Windows workstations: HyperPlot enables you to do more in less time and is used as a cornerstone of the IC design process in thousands of corporations around the world.
Printing or plotting without HyperPlot: As IC designs get more complex, data files are often so large that your output device can't do the job (or even accept the format.) It's too slow and the size of the printed image is limited to the size of the output device. Often, the device simply runs out of memory.
Printing or plotting with HyperPlot: HyperPlot solves this problem. It RIPs the data on your workstation or server and creates the dots that are sent directly to the output device. HyperPlot is extremely fast and can handle unlimited input. If your image is bigger than the output device can handle, HyperPlot simply splits the image into tiles and creates tile identification markings, making it easy to piece together

Benefits & Features:

  • Contains a high performance proprietary RIP optimized for EDA applications.
  • Processes huge hybrid files containing raster and vector data.
  • Has a rich set of scaling and annotation features that far exceed the capabilities of printer/plotter and software RIPs.
  • Runs standalone or on a server by off-loading the local workstation from processing the output.
  • Contains a true print previewer that allows you to proof and edit a job before printing - saving time and printer supplies.
  • Creates PDF files from any Windows application.
Contains accounting features for tracking resource usage.
  • Automatically tiles images.
Annotates plots with labels, rulers, plot ID's, and legends.
  • ors or reverses your image.
  • Can crop a small "window" section of your image to blow up.
  • Create legends to differentiate layers in applications where the data is located on separate layers.
    • Offers Color Controls:
to enhance halftoning, using the Floyd-Steinberg's (error diffusion) algorithm for smooth color transitions
    • to apply gamma corrections to adjust color levels
    • to adjust image brightness and contrast
