High-Compliance Probe Tip

The Model 7S high-compliance probe tip is used to test the integrity of, or to resolve failure analysis issues in, wafers or packaged parts. The high-compliance of this probe tip makes it resistant to fishhooking while maintaining good probe contact even when the sample moves.

The tip and spring design provides force for good ohmic contact yet flexes before tip damage occurs. Therefore, not only are these probe tips suitable for extreme temperature conditions, they are also forgiving. It can be used in standard probing applications by individuals who use probe stations occasionally or by inexperienced operators. Additionally, this probe tip is also suitable for high attack angle applications where they are scrubbed on the sample surface and repeatedly raised and lowered without damage.
