GEO Semiconductor Inc. Announces Technology Partnership With CalSys, Inc. To Penetrate The Video Surveillance Market In Mainland China
The Partnership will focus on developing innovative fully-integrated modules featuring de-warping of 180o and 360o lenses and electronic pan-tilt-zoom (ePTZ) for Video Surveillance at Full HD (1080) resolution and 60fps frame rate.
Santa Clara, CA - GEO Semiconductor Inc. ("GEO"), the industry leader in programmable, high performance, video and geometry processing IC solutions for both 2D and 3D applications, recently announced that it has entered into a technology partnership with CalSys Inc. ("CalSys") to provide fully integrated modules for video surveillance cameras with a primary focus on Mainland China. GEO Semiconductor will combine its new generation warping technology, featuring newly launched "Zero-Blind-Spot" and "Zero-Pixel-Loss " features, with CalSys' VClear video processing technology for security cameras that enrich visual effects by removing noise and increasing pixel correlation. The GEO and CalSys partnership provides the marketplace with a fully integrated de-warping solution with superior video quality at 1920x1080p60 resolution and frame rate.
"CalSys Inc.'s technical expertise and market presence in the field of security cameras in Mainland China aligns well with GEO's goal of integrating its technology into the next generation of video surveillance cameras," said Paul Russo, CEO of Geo Semiconductor Inc. "The value proposition for using wide angle lenses with GEO's new generation warping technology is very compelling. This solution enables customers to create up to sixteen (16) virtual cameras while enabling electronic pan, tilt and zoom (ePTZ)."
"The partnership with GEO is very strategic for CalSys," said James Liu, CEO of Calsys. "GEO's warp technology is the best of breed and the only solution capable of full HD de-warp with Zero-Pixel-Loss. GEO's warp technology can also compute warp transforms in real-time, which greatly reduces costs and improves features that are critical when creating a compelling system design for this emerging marketplace".
The companies plan to launch the commercially available solution in Q1 2012.
