Chemineer, Inc. introduces the Bakker BT-6 Impeller. Developed with modern flow measurement techniques, its patent-pending blade geometry efficiently disperses gas in liquids at high flow rates. The Chemineer BT-6 Impeller utilizes a concave, vertically asymmetrical blade design that forces gas to the walls and distributes the gas throughout the entire liquid volume. In comparative testing, the BT-6 increases the mass transfer rate by as much as 60% when compared to a flat blade, disc-style turbine. Its flat power draw curve makes the Chemineer BT-6 impeller well suited for applications where flow rates change during the process. Chemineer BT-6 impellers are available in a 6-blade configuration with a choice of welded, bolted, or bolted-adjustable blades. Standard materials of construction include carbon steel or 316 stainless steel. Special alloys are also available for unique applications.
