Freescale Selects Electroglas EG6000e 300mm Wafer Prober

San Jose, CA - Electroglas, Inc., a leading supplier of wafer probers for the semiconductor industry, recently announced that Freescale Semiconductor has qualified the Electroglas EG6000e for engineering development and characterization of new semiconductor processes. This purchase followed an extensive engineering evaluation where detailed electrical characteristic analysis of leading edge semiconductor process was made possible by the EG6000e's very low noise and extended temperature range capabilities.

``The Electroglas 300-mm prober has provided us with the capability to perform very accurate electrical tests at extreme temperatures and very long test times,'' said Mohamed Moosa PhD, manager CMOS Platform Reliability Group at Freescale. ``Without the capabilities of the Electroglas prober, we would not be able to make these kinds of measurements.
