Coreflex LLC offers a high purity, extremely flexible Teflon® hose that utilizes Dupont's T-62 PTFE resin. Many hoses are marketed under the name of Teflon®, but in fact are flouropolymers. All too often various resins of Teflon® are overlooked considering not all resins are created equally when it comes to flexible hoses of Teflon®. When tested per ASTM D2176, PTFE demonstrates a flex life up to 60 times greater than other types of flouropolymers such as FEP. Coreflex has been able to capture the needs of users with an all-purpose hose of Teflon® that is manufactured for a number of applications and is user-friendly.

There are a number of reasons we utilize Dupont's T-62 PTFE resin in our hoses. It is one of the most chemically inert materials known to man. There are only seventeen materials that are not compatible with Teflon® and of those seventeen, fourteen are questionable. As you probably already know, Teflon® is widely known as a non-stick material which is demanded across various industries. The non-stick characteristic is perfect for a hose innercore when considering the material conveyed will not adhere to the surface and will drain completely. Another important consideration when selecting a hose innercore is temperature rating. Dupont's PTFE Teflon® resin is rated from -80˚F to 450˚ F which exceeds most application requirements. Also, the Teflon® will impart no taste or odor assuring all media will keeps its integrity after being conveyed through our hoses. Lastly, T-62 PTFE is non-aging which essentially means the innercore of the hose should last forever. Unfortunately, that is not the case with most competitors' smooth bore hoses of Teflon®, which are accessible to kinking, but the Coreflex design changes everything!
