N/Ar use in microscopy and machine vision system applications, the Mille Luce model 1000 fiber-optic illuminator demonstrates a 500% increase in lamp life over other EKE and EKE-HC 150 watt quartz halogen lamps. It supplies 1,000 hours of shadow-free, glare-free, cool illumination. The illuminator features a high-impact, polymer housing to protect internal components. It is engineered to be a lightweight compact unit that provides cool surface temperatures and minimal fan vibration noise. Other features include a quick-change, positive locking nosepiece, a slide potentiometer for adjusting lamp intensity from 0 – 100%, and optional iris dimming.
