FCI Announces Expanded Line Of Clear H-Tap Covers

Manchester, NH - FCI, a manufacturer and provider of connector solutions to the industrial, energy, application tooling and automotive industries, announced its new line of Clear H-Tap covers. Believed to be made of high quality polycarbonate, this new line of clear covers provides the installer with a high impact, flame retardant, cover that affords the user the ability to inspect the connector both during the installation and after it is completed.

FCI's Clear H-Tap covers offer a two-piece design, positive latching system. The clear covers are UL-listed and CSA certified, and have 94V-0 rating and identification labels that can be inserted into the cover's internal pockets.

According to FCI, the product offers additional unique features not seen with competing brands of clear covers, including, patented highly flexible fingers that wrap around the conductor to hold the cover in place. A built-in magnifying glass allows for increased connector visibility, and markings verify a correctly installed connection. The Clear H-Tap covers also come with built-in exterior channels that are designed to hold either the supplied wax cord or cable ties in place after installation.

FCI Clear H-Tap covers can be purchased individually as a cover kit or packaged with an H-Tap connector for convenience. Each package contains two (2) clear cover halves, two (2) nylon cable ties, and four (4) identification labels.
