ELECTROCARB® Black Silicon Carbide Grain

ELECTROCARB black silicon carbide powder is a 98.5% premium grade, medium high density, high intensity magnetically treated silicon carbide grain. W-Series powders are water washed and water classified to the strict FEPA-F standard 42-GB-1984 or JIS standards. Our proprietary process removes iron, soluble impurities and most silica while sizing to a very high peaked bell curve.

ELECTROCARB silicon carbide is used for general purpose polishing, lapping, blasting, compounds and vitrified and resinoid wheels, primarily for grinding and finishing non-ferrous and non-metallic materials. It is also used for refractories, composites, wire sawing, non-skid, tumbling and other uses.

ELECTROCARB optical quality virgin silicon carbide powders are available in 300 lb fiber drums, one-ton supersacks or 25 kg boxes. They are also available 50 pound white plastic pails at a small premium.
