Asymtek DispenseJet valveis a non-contact dispense valve offering a robust, high performance alternative to traditional methiods such as dipping, screen printing and ultrasonic spray. Designed for use with Asymtek's Century Series automated dispensing platforms, Asymtek valve can apply flux for a wide range of assembly operations, including flip chip, chip scale package (CSP), ball grid array (BGA), multi-chip module (MCM) and ball attach.

The valve's non-contact jet dispensing eliminates the need for z-axis motion during the dispense cycle. This allows precise flux dispensing at highspeeds, accomodating changes in part styles or substrates without costly tooling changes. The valve dispenses in a variety of pre-programmed patterns, depositing flux that flows together to create a thin, uniform film.

With the valve, users can achieve 100% coverage of the flux area with thin film builds as low as 4µg/mm2, optimizing usage of flux materials. This minimizes flux residues, enhances the reliability of the parts and reduces or eliminates cleaning. The jet dispensing process provides excellent edge definition, eliminating over-spray and material waste associated with dippin, ultrasonic and spray application methods.
