CVC Appoints VP of Customer Service and Support

CVC (Rochester, NY), a worldwide supplier of thin film and semiconductor deposition equipment, has appointed Gerald Sowers as VP of customer service and support.

Sowers has responsibility for CVC's worldwide field service organization and all aspects of customer support, including technical support. technical training, spare parts support and technical publications. He reports to Giovanni Nocerino, executive VP.

Sowers earned a BA and an MA in Economics from Stanford University. Prior to.joining CVC, he most recently was Director, Customer Support at Novellus Systems (San Jose, CA). He also held numerous management positions during his 10 year tenure with Varian Associates (Palo Alto, CA).

"Jerry's profound international experience supporting and satisfying customers, coupled with his demonstrated leadership track record will enable CVC to provide world class customer support," according to Nocerino.
