ChipPAC Selects Camstar's MESA Software for Assembly and Test Facility in Shanghai

ChipPAC (San Jose, CA), a Hyundai subsidiary and assembly and test foundry, has selected Camstar's (Campbell, CA) MESA manufacturing execution system for use in its Shanghai facility. The software will control and monitor the entire ChipPAC assembly and test process in Shanghai.

According to Tony Lin, ChipPAC's Chief Financial Officer. "We'll have the levels of control and traceability to offer nearly instantaneous feedback to our customers regarding the production status of their orders," said Lin. "We anticipate that MESA will allow us to fine-tune our assembly and test processes so that we can shorten our cycle times, improve yields, and increase on-time delivery to our customers."
