Charles Evans & Associates is an independent and privately owned, commercial analytical service laboratory, recognized as the world leader in providing surface and microanalytical materials characterization. The company was founded in 1978, and has steadily grown to more than 125 employees. The expansion has resulted in three laboratories in the California "Silicon Valley": Redwood City, Sunnyvale, and Surface Science Laboratories (SSL) in Mountain View. All three laboratories are ISO 9002 certified. We are committed to continuous improvement in the quality of our analysis procedures and measurements. The location of our laboratories encourages close interaction and support to the local industries and reflects our commitment to a long-term partnership with our customers. The analytical capability at our Redwood City site includes both magnetic-sector and quadrupole-based SIMS, TOF-SIMS, XPS/ESCA, RBS, HFS, PIXE, NRA, FTIR, and TXRF. Our laboratory in Sunnyvale is equipped with electron beam and imaging techniques, such as AES, SEM/EDS, SEM, FE-SEM, In-Lens FE-SEM, and AFM/SPM.
