Brushless Servo Motors
Featured at Semicon West
The new BLX Series of brushless servo motors from is designed with high-energy magnets to provide torque per frame size from 5 lb/in.-280 lb/in., continuous, and 15 lb/in.-840 lb/in., peak. The magnetic and thermal design makes the BLX Series suited for use in applications that demand high performance, durability, and harsh environmental protection such as XYZ systems, general automation, pick and place, packaging, material handling, web synchronization, metalworking, and food processing.
The motors are constructed with standard EP65 environmental sealing, military style fluid tight connectors, oversize bearings, and a winding thermal switch to ensure a long and worry-free service life. An internal 2000 line bearing mounted commutating encoder provides precision and reliability. The BLX Series can be ordered in four frame sizes, each with various stack lengths and winding configurations. The motors also are available with Thomson Micron True Planetary gearheads in ratios from 3:1 to 100:1 and with internally mounted 24 VDC brakes. Matching OMNIDRIVE digital servo drives and cables are available for a turnkey solution. The motors are LJL and CUL recognized.
