ATS ChemBond Odorless Resin
The following are some of the test results ATS has obtained:
One of our first tests was conducted with Underwriters Laboratories. We coated a cement asbestos board with a 20 mil coating to determine the flame and smoke ratings of the resin. UL ran an ASTM E-48 Tunnel Test on the sample. The results were:
FLAME SPREAD =10
SMOKE DEVELOPED = 25
Outgassing results were obtained from Seimens Munich which tested the Chembond resin using procedures outlined in S.E.M.I.'s Standard E-4695 - Test Method for the Determination of Organic Contamination from Minienvironments. The ChemBond resin results were:
Positive Ions (7 days) = 0.14
Negative Ions (7 days) = 0.20
We also have FM approval to use ChemBond resin as a joining system for our duct systems used for fume exhaust.
For structural tests, we went to California State University as Long Beach. Dr. Joe Plecnik determined the tensile strength for a laminate of ChemBond resin and glass reinforcement. These values were considerably greater than those recommended in the National Bureau of Standards Product Standard 15-69.
