Before joining Broadcom, Mr. Ross served as the president of Rockwell International's Telecommunications Group. Under Mr. Ross's leadership, Rockwell's semiconductor revenue grew from $140 million to more than $1 billion, and Rockwell became the worldwide leader in voice-band modems. Prior to Rockwell, Mr. Ross served as vice-president and general manager of National Semiconductor's ASIC business. Earlier positions held by Ross include vice-president and general manager of Fairchild Semiconductor's ASIC division, and from 1978 to 1982, vice president and general manager of the Fairchild Semiconductor Test Systems division. In 1994, Mr. Ross served as chairman of the board of the Semiconductor Industry Association, the premier trade association representing the U.S. semiconductor industry, and held board positions with Sematech and the Telecommunications Industry Association.

"We are extremely pleased to have such a seasoned veteran with a proven track record such as Lanny's join our board," said Jim Cable, president and CEO of Peregrine Semiconductor.

"As we enter a phase of rapid revenue and shipment growth for the company, Lanny's wealth

"Peregrine has a strong foundation of impressive talent and disruptive products," said Ross. "The company offers an excellent opportunity to advance RF integration with its UltraCMOS™ technology, and I look forward to working with Jim and his team to grow this exciting opportunity."

About UltraCMOS™ Technology
UltraCMOS™ mixed-signal process technology is a patented variation of silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology on a sapphire substrate providing with high yields and competitive costs. This technology delivers significant performance advantages over competing processes such as GaAs, SiGe BiCMOS and bulk silicon CMOS in applications where RF performance, low power and integration are paramount.
