The D-9000 reflection-mode acoustic micro imaging system offers an improved feel for acoustic features and their interpretation. Features include:
- Flexible system design for linear or ergonomic wraparound footprint.
- The company's VHR (Very High Resolution) electronics which makes acoustic images up to 8,000 x 8,000 pixels to bring out fine details such as solder bump bonds inside Flip Chips.
- Enhanced mechanical resolution along with a greatly enlarged overall scanning access area.
- Zip-Slice and 3V software for making and cross-sectioning Acoustic Solids. An Acoustic Solid, built up from individually optimized acoustic slices of the sample, is rotated and sectioned to provide the best possible view of internal features.
- The company's waterfall transducers which makes immersion of the sample unnecessary. A tiny module riding on the transducer delivers a micro-stream of water just to the area where acoustic coupling is required and the sample is exposed to fluid for only a very short time. The greatly reduced volume also means that other fluids, such as alcohol, can easily be used.
