Avnet – Space-Saving Multi-I/O Memories Provides Superior Performance In Auto Applications (Winbond WBD W25X)

Offering superior performance in space-saving packages, Winbond WBD W25X and W25Q SpiFlash Multi-I/O are now available from Avnet.

Both the W25X and W25Q families feature Winbond’s popular Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) – the W25X supports Dual-SPI and effectively doubles standard SPI clock rates, whilst the W25Q is a ‘superset’ of the 25X family with Dual-I/O and Quad-I/O SPI for even higher-performance clock rates. The W25X and W25Q SpiFlash Multi-I/O memories also feature a built-in Quad Peripheral Interface (QPI) to reduce instruction overhead and provide simpler controller circuitry.

W25X40CLSNIG SpiFlash Multi-I/O memories includes just the Fast Write and Dual SPI, while the W25Q16CVSSIG and W25Q16DVSSIG both include Dual/Quad SPI and Enhanced. Typical applications include demanding automotive areas such as advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), navigation and entertainment systems.
