Continuous electrodeionization is your safe, chemical-free way to take RO (reverse osmosis) water to a higher level of purity. Siemens' CDI-LX™ systems use our proven, patented process to produce an uninterrupted supply of high purity water, up to 18.2 megohm-cm. Also referred to as CEDI (Continuous Electrodeionization) and EDI (Electrodeionization) systems, CDI® systems are commonly used to remove boron, carbon dioxide, salt, silica, total dissolved solids (TDS) and total organic carbon (TOC).

CDI-LX™ systems are pre-engineered systems specifically designed to meet the demands of the pharmaceutical, power, microelectronics and general industry customer. Our standard CDI-LX™ systems have flow rates from 2.5 to 180 gpm (0.57 to 40.88 cubic meters per hr), and combine single or multiple (up to 8) CDI-LX™ modules on a frame with:

  • A complete, power supply assembly (NEMA 12 or optional NEMA 4 and 4X)
  • Controllers
  • Piping
  • Sample valves
  • Cleaning connections
Flow and quality monitoring instrumentation is standard and remote I/O is available as an option.

Features and Benefits

  • Rugged construction
  • Ability to be hot water sanitized (certain pharmaceutical systems only)
  • Hot water sanitization proven to >200 cycles with no detrimental effects
  • High operating temperature (up to 45 degrees
  • Centigrade; 113 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Easy validation
  • Double o-ring design ensures completely leak-free operation
  • High operating pressure (up to 100 psi)
Flow rates range from 2.5 to >1,000 gpm and systems are ideal for loop applications.
