USDC's Sixth Annual Flexible Displays And Microelectronics Conference Set For February 5-8, 2007
Organizers went on to add that the conference will reveal increasing coverage of the broader microelectronics applications and alternative manufacturing approaches, which will be apparent not only in the 3 days of presentations, but further emphasized by the short course delivered by a team from Motorola on the application of printing technologies to pattern organic and inorganic microelectronics components and devices. Aiming to spur commercialization, the forum enables collaboration between industry, academia and government in order to tackle the current challenges, and to learn of the latest technological advancements that will drive these markets from concept to fruition.
For the past five years, the conference is believed to have drawn participation from industry's electronics powerhouses, think-tanks and executives -- with 2007 figures widely expected to surpass last's year's record-breaking attendance.
For the first time, the 55-plus presentations will span two tracks during the middle day of the conference to enable 15 topical sessions, including:
- Markets outlook and applications
- Flexible products
- Manufacturing
- TFTs
- Flexible technologies
- Organics and OLEDs
- Materials (substrate barrier materials/substrates/conductors).
In addition, the conference will feature more than 20 student poster papers represented by prestigious universities such as Arizona State, Duke, Penn State, Lehigh, Princeton and the University of Rochester among others. This follows the successful introduction of this component of the conference at last year's event. The poster paper sessions along with an exhibitor forum will run concurrently during the breakout sessions for all three days of the conference.
The upcoming USDC conference returns to the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort, adjacent to the Phoenix Mountain Preserve. With record attendance anticipated, USDC highly recommends registering early before space fills up and to take advantage of pre-registration rates.
