Yaskawa launches compact machine controller

Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. has introduced an all-inclusive machine controller, the MP930. This controller, displayed by Yaskawa at the Westec Advanced Productivity Exposition held March 26-29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, is an extension of the MotionSuite Series of machine controllers targeted to semiconductor, packaging, converting, machine tool and food processing industries.

The compact MP930 high-performance controller employs MotionWorks, the simple Windows 95 compatible programming tool, and features 14-axis control paired with an abundance of commands needed for general motion control.

align=left border=0>The adoption of the high-speed field network "Mechatrolink" provides a short control panel boot-up time to unify the management of programs and parameters. The simple network connection provides a high degree of reliability with a baud rate of 4 Mbps, transmission frequency of 2 ms and a maximum transmission range of 50 m.
